Daily Watercolor (For April)

I'm going to try to do one (1) or more watercolor sketches a day to practice how to paint, composition, the creation of focal points, color, value, shape, etc. ! It begins with two sketches from March, the first one with the pagoda is more recent (I feel like its a bit better than the other one with the path, so I put it first.) Feel free to critique me/add suggestions on how to improve along the way.

Took a hike in the spring, and painted these, large one took abt 45 mins (pretty slow) and small one was about 10-15

April first- no time for hike so I painted from a photo of Hawaii I took last summer. Painting from photos is a bit harder imo because the colors are less varied and it’s hard to change your perspective to get a nice composition
